And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, you will notice a denial on the faces of the disbelievers! They are nearly ready to attack with violence those who recite Our Verses to them. Say: "Shall I tell you of something worse than that? The Fire (of Hell) which Allâh has promised to those who disbelieved, and worst indeed is that destination!"

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

72. 1 By laying hands or through abusive language. That is, for the polytheists and the people of misguidance, the mention of Allah’s oneness, prophethood, and the Hereafter is unbearable, which is reflected on their faces and sometimes through their hands and tongues. The same is the case with today’s people of innovation and misguided sects; when their misguidance is made clear through the arguments of the Quran and Hadith, their attitude towards the Quranic verses and proofs is just like this, as explained in this verse (Fath al-Qadeer).

72. 2 That is, for now, upon hearing the signs of Allah, only your faces are astonished. A time will come, if you do not repent from this attitude, when you will have to face much worse circumstances than this, and that is burning in the fire of Hell, which Allah has promised to the people of disbelief and polytheism.
