Surah Al-Hajj (22) — Ayah 63

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ أَنزَلَ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءً فَتُصْبِحُ ٱلْأَرْضُ مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَطِيفٌ خَبِيرٌ ﴿63﴾
See you not that Allâh sends down water (rain) from the sky, and then the earth becomes green? Verily, Allâh is the Most Kind and Courteous, Well-Acquainted with all things.
أَلَمْ alam Do not
تَرَ tara you see
أَنَّ anna that
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
أَنزَلَ anzala sends down
مِنَ mina from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the sky
مَآءًۭ māan water
فَتُصْبِحُ fatuṣ'biḥu then becomes
ٱلْأَرْضُ l-arḍu the earth
مُخْضَرَّةً ۗ mukh'ḍarratan green
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
لَطِيفٌ laṭīfun (is) surely Subtle
خَبِيرٌۭ khabīrun All-Aware

63. 1. لَطِیْف (subtle/All-Perceiving) is He, His knowledge encompasses every small and great thing, or the One who shows kindness, that is, He deals with His servants with gentleness and grace in providing sustenance. خَیْر He is aware of those matters in which lie the management and rectification of His servants’ affairs. Or, He is aware of their needs and necessities.
