Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
11. 1. Some people might have had this objection in their minds, or it could have been raised by the polytheists, as indeed it is raised, that worship is also offered to ʿIsa and ʿUzayr عليهما السلام, angels, and many righteous people, so will they too be thrown into Hell along with their worshippers? In this verse, this has been clarified that these people were righteous servants of Allah, and because of their righteousness, Allah has already decreed for them goodness, that is, eternal happiness or the glad tidings of Paradise. They will remain far from Hell.
