سُوْرَةُ طٰهٰ

Surah Taa-Haa (20) — Ayah 24

ٱذْهَبْ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّهُۥ طَغَىٰ ﴿24﴾
"Go to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant)."
ٱذْهَبْ idh'hab Go
إِلَىٰ ilā to
فِرْعَوْنَ fir'ʿawna Firaun
إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, he
طَغَىٰ ṭaghā (has) transgressed

24. 1. Pharaoh is mentioned because he had enslaved the people of Musa (Moses) ؑ, the Children of Israel, and inflicted various forms of oppression upon them. In addition, his arrogance and rebellion had greatly increased to the extent that he began to claim (اَنَا رَبُّكُمُ الْاَعْلٰى) 79. An-Nazi'at:24) 'I am your most exalted Lord.'
