Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

14. 1. That is, the most intelligent and wise. That is, the life of this world will seem to them to be only a few days, rather just a few moments. Just as in another place Allah Almighty has said 30. Ar-Rum. 55) On the Day when the Hour will be established, the disbelievers will swear that they did not remain (in the world) except for an hour. This same subject has been mentioned in several other places as well. For example, Surah Fatir, 37; Surah Al-Mu’minun, 112-114; Surah An-Nazi’at, etc. The meaning is that the perishable life should not be preferred over the everlasting life.
