Surah Al-Baqara (2) — Ayah 92

۞ وَلَقَدْ جَآءَكُم مُّوسَىٰ بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ وَأَنتُمْ ظَـٰلِمُونَ ﴿92﴾
And indeed Mûsâ (Moses) came to you with clear proofs, yet you worshipped the calf after he left, and you were Zâlimûn (polytheists and wrongdoers).
۞ وَلَقَدْ walaqad And indeed
جَآءَكُم jāakum came to you
مُّوسَىٰ mūsā Musa
بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ bil-bayināti with [the] clear signs
ثُمَّ thumma then
ٱتَّخَذْتُمُ ittakhadhtumu you took
ٱلْعِجْلَ l-ʿij'la the calf
مِنۢ min from
بَعْدِهِۦ baʿdihi after him
وَأَنتُمْ wa-antum and you
ظَـٰلِمُونَ ẓālimūna (were) wrongdoers

92. 1 This is another proof of their denial and stubbornness: that Musa ؑ came with clear signs and arguments, stating that he is the Messenger of Allah and that the only deity is Allah Ta'ala, but even then you troubled Musa ؑ and, leaving Allah the One, made the calf your deity.
