Surah Al-Baqara (2) — Ayah 70

قَالُوا۟ ٱدْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّن لَّنَا مَا هِىَ إِنَّ ٱلْبَقَرَ تَشَـٰبَهَ عَلَيْنَا وَإِنَّآ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ لَمُهْتَدُونَ ﴿70﴾
They said, "Call upon your Lord for us to make plain to us what it is. Verily, to us all cows are alike. And surely, if Allâh wills, we will be guided."
قَالُوا۟ qālū They said
ٱدْعُ ud'ʿu Pray
لَنَا lanā for us
رَبَّكَ rabbaka (to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن yubayyin to make clear
لَّنَا lanā to us
مَا what
هِىَ hiya it (is)
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱلْبَقَرَ l-baqara [the] cows
تَشَـٰبَهَ tashābaha look alike
عَلَيْنَا ʿalaynā to us
وَإِنَّآ wa-innā And indeed we

شَآءَ shāa wills
ٱللَّهُ l-lahu Allah
لَمُهْتَدُونَ lamuh'tadūna (will) surely be those who are guided
