Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

1. This describes the outcome of those believers who, after embracing faith, are diligent in piety, righteous deeds, and correct beliefs. They do not consider mere verbal declaration of faith to be sufficient. Success here refers to attaining Allah’s pleasure, mercy, and forgiveness in the Hereafter. If, along with this, prosperity and happiness are also attained in this world, then Subhan Allah. Otherwise, the real success is the success of the Hereafter. After this, Allah Almighty mentions the second group, who are not only disbelievers but whose disbelief and stubbornness have reached such an extent that there remains no hope of goodness or acceptance of Islam from them.
