The Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allâh, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. (They say), "We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers" - and they say, "We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

285. 1 In this verse, again the mention is of those articles of faith upon which the believers have been commanded to have faith, and in the next verse 2:286, there is mention of Allah's mercy, compassion, and His grace and favor, that He has not made humans responsible for anything beyond their capacity. In hadith, there is great virtue mentioned for these two verses. The Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him (Sahih Bukhari). In another hadith, it is mentioned: Among the three things that were given to the Prophet ﷺ on the night of Mi'raj, one of them is these last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah (Sahih Muslim). In several narrations, it is reported that these last verses of this Surah were granted to him ﷺ from a treasure beneath the Divine Throne, and these verses were not given to any prophet other than him. Hazrat Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say Ameen at the end of this Surah.
