Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

262. 1. The mentioned virtue of spending in the way of Allah is attained only by the person who, after spending wealth, does not remind others of his favor, nor utters any word of humiliation that would hurt the self-respect of a poor or needy person and cause him distress. This is such a grave offense that the Prophet ﷺ said: On the Day of Judgment, Allah will not speak to three types of people, one of whom is the one who reminds others of his favor. (Muslim, Kitab al-Iman, Bab Ghalaz Tahrim Isbal al-Izar wa al-Man bil-‘Atiyyah)
