سُوْرَةُ البَقَرَةِ
Surah Al-Baqara (2) — Ayah 241
وَلِلْمُطَلَّقَـٰتِ مَتَـٰعٌۢ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ ۖ حَقًّا عَلَى ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ ﴿241﴾

And for divorced women, maintenance (should be provided) on reasonable (scale). This is a duty on Al-Muttaqûn (the pious - See V.2:2).

241. 1. This command is general and includes every concerned woman. The good treatment that has been emphasized at the time of separation has countless economic benefits. If only Muslims would act upon this extremely important advice.
