Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

223. 1. The Jews believed that if intercourse was done with the woman lying on her stomach, the child would be born cross-eyed. In refutation of this, it is being said that whether intercourse is done from the front (with her lying on her back), from behind (with her lying on her stomach), or on her side, in whatever manner you wish, it is permissible, but it is necessary that in every case only the woman’s vagina is used. Some people argue from this (in whatever manner you wish) that the anus is also included, therefore the use of the anus is also permissible. But this is completely wrong. When the Quran has called the woman a field, it means that it is only for the use of the field that it is being said, “come to your fields as you wish,” and this field is only the vagina, not the anus. In any case, this is an unnatural act. A person who uses his wife’s anus has been declared accursed (referenced in Ibn Kathir and Fath al-Qadeer).
