ثُمَّ أَفِيضُوا۟ مِنْ حَيْثُ أَفَاضَ ٱلنَّاسُ وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ ﴿199﴾
Then depart from the place whence all the people depart and ask Allâh for His Forgiveness. Truly, Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most-Merciful.
ثُمَّ thumma Then
أَفِيضُوا۟ afīḍū depart
مِنْ min from
حَيْثُ ḥaythu wherever
أَفَاضَ afāḍa depart
ٱلنَّاسُ l-nāsu the people
وَٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ wa-is'taghfirū and ask forgiveness

199. 1. According to the above-mentioned order, it is necessary to go to Arafat and return after staying there, but since Arafat is outside the Haram, the Quraysh of Makkah did not go up to Arafat; rather, they would return from Muzdalifah itself. Therefore, the command is being given that you should return from the same place from where all the people return, that is, from Arafat.
