Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

1. One meaning of "Allah also mocks them" is that just as they treat the Muslims with mockery and disdain, Allah also deals with them in the same way, subjecting them to humiliation. Expressing this as mockery is a manner of speech; in reality, it is not mockery, but rather the punishment for their actions. Just as the recompense for evil is an evil like it, the recompense for evil is called evil, even though it is not evil but a permissible act. The second meaning is that on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will also say to them, as clarified in Surah Hadid, verse (يَوْمَ يَقُوْلُ الْمُنٰفِقُوْنَ) 57:13.
