Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
For every nation there is a direction to which they face (in their prayers). So hasten towards all that is good. Wheresoever you may be, Allâh will bring you together (on the Day of Resurrection). Truly, Allâh is Able to do all things.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Another meaning is that every religion has made its own path and method, as mentioned elsewhere in the Quran. Verse (لِكُلٍّجَعَلْنَامِنْكُمْشِرْعَةًوَّمِنْهَاجًاۭوَلَوْشَاۗءَاللّٰهُلَجَعَلَكُمْاُمَّةًوَّاحِدَةًوَّلٰكِنْلِّيَبْلُوَكُمْفِيْمَآاٰتٰىكُمْ) 5:48, that is, after Allah Almighty has clarified both guidance and misguidance, the freedom given to man to choose either of them has resulted in people making various ways and systems that differ from one another. If Allah had willed, He could have made everyone follow a single path, that is, the path of guidance, but the purpose of granting all these choices is to test them. Therefore, O Muslims, you should strive to excel in goodness, that is, remain steadfast on the path of virtue and righteousness. This is the path of divine revelation and following the Messenger ﷺ, from which others are deprived.
