Surah Al-Kahf (18) — Ayah 90

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا بَلَغَ مَطْلِعَ ٱلشَّمْسِ وَجَدَهَا تَطْلُعُ عَلَىٰ قَوْمٍ لَّمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُم مِّن دُونِهَا سِتْرًا ﴿90﴾
Until, when he came to the rising place of the sun, he found it rising on a people for whom We (Allâh) had provided no shelter against the sun.
حَتَّىٰٓ ḥattā Until
إِذَا idhā when
بَلَغَ balagha he reached
مَطْلِعَ maṭliʿa (the) rising place
ٱلشَّمْسِ l-shamsi (of) the sun
وَجَدَهَا wajadahā and he found it
تَطْلُعُ taṭluʿu rising
عَلَىٰ ʿalā on
قَوْمٍۢ qawmin a community
لَّمْ lam not
نَجْعَل najʿal We made
لَّهُم lahum for them
مِّن min against it
دُونِهَا dūnihā against it
سِتْرًۭا sit'ran any shelter

90. 1. That is, he reached such a place which was the last settlement on the eastern side, it has been called "Matla' ash-Shams". There he saw such a people who, instead of living in houses, were settled in fields and deserts, and were also free from clothing. This means that there was no curtain or cover between them and the sun. The sun would rise upon their naked bodies.
