سُوْرَةُ الْكَهْفِ
Surah Al-Kahf (18) — Ayah 37
قَالَ لَهُۥ صَاحِبُهُۥ وَهُوَ يُحَاوِرُهُۥٓ أَكَفَرْتَ بِٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكَ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰكَ رَجُلًا ﴿37﴾

His companion said to him during the talk with him: "Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you out of dust (i.e. your father Adam), then out of Nutfah (mixed semen drops of male and female discharge), then fashioned you into a man?

37. 1. Hearing his words, his believing companion advised him in a manner of admonition and preaching that you are committing disbelief with your Creator, who created you from clay and a drop of water. Since Abu al-Bashar Hazrat Adam ؑ was created from clay, the origin of humans is also clay. Then the immediate cause became the drop (nutfah) which came out from the father’s loins and entered the mother’s womb, where it was nurtured for nine months, then made into a complete human and brought out from the mother’s belly. According to some, being created from clay means that the food a human eats is all obtained from the earth, that is, from clay itself. From this food, the drop (nutfah) is formed, which, after entering the woman’s womb, becomes the means of human birth. Thus, the origin of every human is considered to be clay. By reminding the ungrateful human of his origin, attention is being drawn towards his Creator and Lord, that you should reflect on your reality and origin, and then look at the favors of your Lord, what He has made you into, and in this act of creation, there is no partner or helper with Him. The only one who does all this is Allah Almighty alone, whom you are not willing to accept. Alas, how ungrateful is this human?
