ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا ﴿101﴾
(To) those whose eyes had been under a covering from My Reminder (this Qur’ân), and who could not bear to hear (it).
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those
كَانَتْ kānat had been
أَعْيُنُهُمْ aʿyunuhum their eyes
فِى within
غِطَآءٍ ghiṭāin a cover
عَن ʿan from
ذِكْرِى dhik'rī My remembrance
وَكَانُوا۟ wakānū and were
لَا not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ yastaṭīʿūna able
سَمْعًا samʿan (to) hear
