Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

97. 1 It is also in Allah's control who accepts faith through my preaching and invitation, and who does not; my duty is only to convey the message.
97. 2 It is mentioned in the hadith that the companions expressed amazement as to how people will be gathered on their faces. The Prophet ﷺ said, the same Allah who granted them the ability to walk on their feet is also capable of making them walk on their faces.
97. 3 That is, just as they remained blind, deaf, and dumb regarding the truth in the world, on the Day of Resurrection, as a recompense, they will be blind, deaf, and dumb.
