Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

84. 1. In this, there is a warning and threat for the polytheists, and its meaning is the same as that of Surah Hud, verses 121-122: وقل للذین لا یومنون اعملوا علی مکانتکم انا عملون. The meaning of شاکلۃ is intention, religion, way, and temperament and nature. Some say that in this, there is an aspect of condemnation for the disbeliever and praise for the believer, because its meaning is that every person acts according to what is based on his morals and character, which is his habit and nature.
