Surah Al-Israa (17) — Ayah 61

وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ ءَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا ﴿61﴾
And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." They prostrated themselves except Iblîs (Satan). He said: "Shall I prostrate myself to one whom You created from clay?"
وَإِذْ wa-idh And when
قُلْنَا qul'nā We said
لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ lil'malāikati to the Angels
ٱسْجُدُوا۟ us'judū Prostrate
لِـَٔادَمَ liādama to Adam
فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ fasajadū So they prostrated
إِلَّآ illā except
إِبْلِيسَ ib'līsa Iblis
قَالَ qāla He said
ءَأَسْجُدُ a-asjudu Shall I prostrate
لِمَنْ liman to (one) whom
خَلَقْتَ khalaqta You created
طِينًۭا ṭīnan (from) clay
