Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

34. 1. After the prohibition of unjustly taking a life, the wasting of wealth is being forbidden, and among these, the wealth of the orphan is the most important. Therefore, it is said that until the orphan reaches maturity, use his wealth in such a way that it benefits him. Do not, without thinking, invest it in such a business that it may be lost or suffer a loss. Nor should you squander it before he reaches the age of understanding.

34. 2. By "covenant" is meant both the pledge between Allah and His servant, and also that which people make with one another. Fulfilling both types of covenants is necessary, and in the case of breach of covenant, there will be accountability.
