Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32. 1. Since adultery is a very grave crime in Islam, so grave that if a married man or woman commits it, they do not even have the right to live in an Islamic society. Then, it is not enough to kill them with a single strike of the sword, but the command is that their life should be ended by stoning so that they become a lesson for the society. That is why it is stated here: do not go near adultery, meaning stay away even from its causes and means, for example, looking at a non-mahram woman, mixing with them, creating opportunities for conversation, similarly, women going out of their homes without hijab and adorned, etc. It is necessary to avoid all these matters so that one can be saved from this indecency.
