Surah An-Nahl (16) — Ayah 98

فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَٱسْتَعِذْ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ ﴿98﴾
So when you want to recite the Qur’ân, seek refuge with Allâh from Shaitân (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one).
فَإِذَا fa-idhā So when
قَرَأْتَ qarata you recite
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ l-qur'āna the Quran
فَٱسْتَعِذْ fa-is'taʿidh seek refuge
بِٱللَّهِ bil-lahi in Allah
مِنَ mina from
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ l-shayṭāni the Shaitaan
ٱلرَّجِيمِ l-rajīmi the accursed

98. 1. Although the address is to the Prophet, the audience is the entire Ummah. That is, at the beginning of recitation, اَ عُوْذُ باللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ should be recited.
