Surah An-Nahl (16) — Ayah 27

ثُمَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ يُخْزِيهِمْ وَيَقُولُ أَيْنَ شُرَكَآءِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ كُنتُمْ تُشَـٰٓقُّونَ فِيهِمْ ۚ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ إِنَّ ٱلْخِزْىَ ٱلْيَوْمَ وَٱلسُّوٓءَ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ﴿27﴾
Then, on the Day of Resurrection, He will disgrace them and will say: "Where are My (so called) partners concerning whom you used to disagree and dispute (with the believers, by defying and disobeying Allâh)?" Those who have been given the knowledge (about the Torment of Allâh for the disbelievers) will say: "Verily! Disgrace and misery this Day are upon the disbelievers.
ثُمَّ thumma Then
يَوْمَ yawma (on) the Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ l-qiyāmati (of) the Resurrection
يُخْزِيهِمْ yukh'zīhim He will disgrace them
وَيَقُولُ wayaqūlu and say
أَيْنَ ayna Where
شُرَكَآءِىَ shurakāiya (are) My partners
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those (for) whom
كُنتُمْ kuntum you used (to)
تُشَـٰٓقُّونَ tushāqqūna oppose
فِيهِمْ ۚ fīhim [in them]
قَالَ qāla Will say
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
أُوتُوا۟ ūtū were given
ٱلْعِلْمَ l-ʿil'ma the knowledge
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱلْخِزْىَ l-khiz'ya the disgrace
ٱلْيَوْمَ l-yawma this Day
وَٱلسُّوٓءَ wal-sūa and evil
عَلَى ʿalā (are) upon
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ l-kāfirīna the disbelievers

27. 1. That is, this was the punishment that befell them in the world, and on the Day of Resurrection, Allah will humiliate and disgrace them in such a way that He will ask them: Where are those partners of yours whom you had set up for Me, and because of whom you used to fight and argue with the believers?

27. 2. That is, those who did not have knowledge of the religion but were bound to it will answer.
