Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

123. 1. The meaning of مِلَّۃَ is such a religion which Allah Almighty has, through one of His prophets, declared as suitable and necessary for people from the beginning. Even though the Prophet ﷺ is the leader of all the prophets and the children of Adam, he was commanded to follow the Millat of Ibrahim, which proves the distinctive and special virtue of Ibrahim (علیہ السلام). In such a principle, the Shariah and Millat of all the prophets have remained the same, in which, along with prophethood, monotheism and the Hereafter have a fundamental status.
