Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

111. 1 That is, no one else will come forward in support, neither father, nor brother, nor son, nor wife, nor anyone else. Rather, they will flee from each other. Brother will flee from brother, sons from parents, husband from wife. Every person will be concerned only for himself, which will make him indifferent to others. "لکل امرء منھم یومئذ شأن یغنیہ" Each one of them will have such an occupation on that day that it will be enough to keep him occupied.

111. 2 That is, the reward for good deeds will not be reduced, nor will the punishment for evil deeds be increased. This will not happen; not even the slightest injustice will be done to anyone. The punishment for evil will be exactly as much as the evil committed. However, Allah will greatly increase the reward for good deeds, and this will be a manifestation of His grace and mercy, which will be for the believers on the Day of Judgment. جَعَلَنَا اللّٰہُ مِنْھُمْ (May Allah make us from among them).
