Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

12. 1 That is, this Quran is not something fabricated by Muhammad himself, rather it has been sent down with truth from the Lord by a pure being like Jibreel (Gabriel) عليه السلام. As mentioned elsewhere, (نَزَلَ بِهِ الرُّوْحُ الْاَمِيْنُ 193؀ۙ عَلٰي قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُنْذِرِيْنَ 194؀ۙ) 26. Ash-Shu'ara: 194-193) "The trustworthy Spirit (Jibreel عليه السلام) has brought it down upon your heart." 12. 2 This is because they say that both the abrogating and the abrogated are from the Lord. Moreover, when the wisdom behind abrogation is presented to them, it increases their steadfastness and strengthens their faith. 12. 3 And this Quran is a source of guidance and glad tidings for the Muslims, because the Quran is like rain, from which some lands become lush and fertile, while in others nothing grows except thorny bushes. The heart of a believer is pure and clear, which becomes illuminated by the blessings of the Quran and the light of faith, while the heart of a disbeliever is like barren land, filled with the darkness of disbelief and misguidance, where even the radiance of the Quran has no effect.
