فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُۥ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِى فَقَعُوا۟ لَهُۥ سَـٰجِدِينَ ﴿29﴾
"So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him."
فَإِذَا fa-idhā So, when
سَوَّيْتُهُۥ sawwaytuhu I have fashioned him
وَنَفَخْتُ wanafakhtu and [I] breathed
فِيهِ fīhi into him
مِن min of
رُّوحِى rūḥī My spirit
فَقَعُوا۟ faqaʿū then fall down
لَهُۥ lahu to him
سَـٰجِدِينَ sājidīna prostrating

29. 1. This command of prostration was as a gesture of respect, not as worship, and since it was the command of Allah, there is no doubt about its obligation. However, in the Shariah of Muhammad ﷺ, it is not permissible to prostrate to anyone even as a gesture of respect.
