رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ تَعْلَمُ مَا نُخْفِى وَمَا نُعْلِنُ ۗ وَمَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ﴿38﴾
"O our Lord! Certainly, You know what we conceal and what we reveal. Nothing on the earth or in the heaven is hidden from Allâh.
رَبَّنَآ rabbanā Our Lord
إِنَّكَ innaka Indeed, You
تَعْلَمُ taʿlamu You know
مَا what
نُخْفِى nukh'fī we conceal
وَمَا wamā and what
نُعْلِنُ ۗ nuʿ'linu we proclaim
وَمَا wamā And not
يَخْفَىٰ yakhfā (is) hidden
عَلَى ʿalā from
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi Allah
مِن min any
شَىْءٍۢ shayin thing
فِى in
ٱلْأَرْضِ l-arḍi the earth
وَلَا walā and not
فِى in
ٱلسَّمَآءِ l-samāi the heaven

38. 1. The meaning is that You fully know the purpose of my supplication; the real aim of praying for this city is Your pleasure, and You are well aware of the reality of everything; nothing in the heavens and the earth is hidden from You.
