Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

28. 1. Its explanation is in Sahih Bukhari that by this is meant the disbelievers of Makkah, who, by denying the Prophethood of Muhammad ﷺ and by fighting the Muslims in the Battle of Badr, caused their own people to be destroyed. However, in terms of its meaning, it is general, and the meaning will be that Allah sent Muhammad ﷺ as a mercy to the worlds and as a divine blessing for the people. So whoever valued this blessing, accepted it, expressed gratitude, he became of Paradise; and whoever rejected this blessing and persisted in disbelief, he was declared of Hell.
