Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

59.1 When Prophet Yusuf (AS), pretending to be a stranger, asked his brothers questions, they told him everything, including that there were ten of them present at that time. But they also mentioned that they had two more brothers (from another mother). One of them, they said, had perished in the wilderness, and the other was kept by their father for his own comfort and was not sent with them. Upon this, Prophet Yusuf (AS) said that next time they should bring him along as well. "Do you not see that I give full measure and am very hospitable and generous?"
