Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

44. 1. This dream came to that king, whose minister was the Aziz of Egypt. Allah intended to bring about the release of Yusuf (علیہ السلام) through this dream. Thus, the courtiers, soothsayers, and astrologers of the king expressed their inability to interpret this disturbing dream. Some say that the statement of the astrologers means a complete denial of the science of dream interpretation, while others say that they were not unaware of the science of interpretation nor did they deny it; they only expressed ignorance regarding the interpretation of this particular dream.
