Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

41. 1 After preaching monotheism, now Prophet Yusuf (علیہ السلام) is explaining the interpretations of the dreams they narrated.
41. 2 This is the same person who saw himself squeezing grapes in his dream; however, he did not specify which of the two it was so that the one destined to die would not be overcome with grief and sorrow beforehand.
41. 3 This is the person who saw bread on his head in his dream.
41. 4 That is, this matter is already decreed in divine destiny, and the interpretation I have given will inevitably come to pass. As mentioned in the hadith, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A dream, until it is interpreted, is on a bird's leg. When it is interpreted, it happens." (Musnad Ahmad, referenced by Ibn Kathir)
