Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

26. 1 When Prophet Yusuf (علیہ السلام) saw that the woman was putting all the blame on him, he clarified the situation and said that it was she who tried to force him into evil. He said that he ran towards the door to escape from her.

26. 2 It was a wise man from her own family who made this judgment. The judgment is referred to here as "testimony" because the matter still required investigation. The story about the testimony of an infant is not established from authentic narrations. In Sahihain, there is a hadith about three infants who spoke, and this fourth one, which is mentioned at this place, is not among them.
