وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿3﴾
"And from the evil of the darkening (night) as it comes with its darkness; (or the moon as it sets or goes away),
وَمِن wamin And from
شَرِّ sharri (the) evil
غَاسِقٍ ghāsiqin (of) darkness
إِذَا idhā when
وَقَبَ waqaba it spreads

3. 1. In the darkness of night, dangerous beasts come out of their lairs, harmful creatures emerge from their holes, and similarly, criminals set out to carry out their evil intentions. Through these words, refuge is sought from all of them. غاسق means when the night enters, spreads.
