Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 96

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿96﴾
And indeed We sent Mûsâ (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and a manifest authority.
وَلَقَدْ walaqad And certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا arsalnā We sent
مُوسَىٰ mūsā Musa
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا biāyātinā with Our Signs
وَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ wasul'ṭānin and an authority
مُّبِينٍ mubīnin clear

96. 1. According to some, "آیات" refers to the Torah and "سلطان مبین" refers to miracles, while others say that "آیات" refers to the nine signs and "سلطان مبین" (clear proof) refers to the staff. Although the staff is included among the nine signs, since this miracle was extremely magnificent, it has been mentioned specifically.
