Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 65

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَقَالَ تَمَتَّعُوا۟ فِى دَارِكُمْ ثَلَـٰثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ۖ ذَٰلِكَ وَعْدٌ غَيْرُ مَكْذُوبٍ ﴿65﴾
But they killed her. So he said: "Enjoy yourselves in your homes for three days. This is a promise (i.e. a threat) that will not be belied."
فَعَقَرُوهَا faʿaqarūhā But they hamstrung her
فَقَالَ faqāla So he said
تَمَتَّعُوا۟ tamattaʿū Enjoy (yourselves)
فِى in
دَارِكُمْ dārikum your home(s)
ثَلَـٰثَةَ thalāthata (for) three
أَيَّامٍۢ ۖ ayyāmin days
ذَٰلِكَ dhālika That
وَعْدٌ waʿdun (is) a promise
غَيْرُ ghayru not
مَكْذُوبٍۢ makdhūbin (to) be belied

65. 1 But despite this tremendous miracle, these wrongdoers not only refrained from believing but, openly defying the command of Allah, killed it. After this, they were given a respite of three days that after three days they would be destroyed through punishment.
