Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 50

وَإِلَىٰ عَادٍ أَخَاهُمْ هُودًا ۚ قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ ٱعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُفْتَرُونَ ﴿50﴾
And to ‘Âd (people We sent) their brother Hûd. He said, "O my people! Worship Allâh! You have no other ilâh (god) but Him. Certainly, you do nothing but invent lies!
وَإِلَىٰ wa-ilā And to
عَادٍ ʿādin Aad
أَخَاهُمْ akhāhum (We sent) their brother
هُودًۭا ۚ hūdan Hud
قَالَ qāla He said
يَـٰقَوْمِ yāqawmi O my people
ٱعْبُدُوا۟ uʿ'budū Worship
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
مَا not
لَكُم lakum (is) for you
مِّنْ min any
إِلَـٰهٍ ilāhin god
غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ ghayruhu other than Him
إِنْ in Not
أَنتُمْ antum you
إِلَّا illā (are) but
مُفْتَرُونَ muf'tarūna inventors
