Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

41. 1. That is, it is only by Allah's name that it sails on the surface of the water and by His name that it comes to rest. One purpose of this was also to give reassurance and encouragement to the believers that they should board the ark without fear or hesitation; Allah Almighty Himself is the protector and guardian of this ark. It will move by His command and stop by His command. Just as Allah Almighty has said in another place: 'O Nuh! When you and your companions are seated safely in the ark, then say (Al-Mu’minun 28, 29) "All praise is for Allah, Who has saved us from the wrongdoing people, and say: O my Lord! Cause me to land at a blessed landing, and You are the best of those who bring to land."' Some scholars have considered it recommended to recite (بِسْمِ اللّٰہِ مَجْرٖھا ومُرْسٰھِا) when boarding a boat or mount, but from the hadith, reciting (وَتَـقُوْلُوْاسُبْحٰنَ الَّذِيْ سَخَّــرَ لَنَا ھٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهٗ مُقْرِنِيْنَ) (Az-Zukhruf: 13) is proven.
