Surah Hud (11) — Ayah 101

وَمَا ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ وَلَـٰكِن ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ فَمَآ أَغْنَتْ عَنْهُمْ ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ٱلَّتِى يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِن شَىْءٍ لَّمَّا جَآءَ أَمْرُ رَبِّكَ ۖ وَمَا زَادُوهُمْ غَيْرَ تَتْبِيبٍ ﴿101﴾
We wronged them not, but they wronged themselves. So their âlihah (gods), other than Allâh, whom they invoked, profited them naught when there came the Command of your Lord, nor did they add aught to them but destruction.
وَمَا wamā And not
ظَلَمْنَـٰهُمْ ẓalamnāhum We wronged them
وَلَـٰكِن walākin but
ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ẓalamū they wronged
أَنفُسَهُمْ ۖ anfusahum themselves
فَمَآ famā So not
أَغْنَتْ aghnat availed
عَنْهُمْ ʿanhum them
ءَالِهَتُهُمُ ālihatuhumu their gods
ٱلَّتِى allatī which
يَدْعُونَ yadʿūna they invoked
مِن min other than Allah
دُونِ dūni other than Allah
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi other than Allah
مِن min any
شَىْءٍۢ shayin thing
لَّمَّا lammā when
جَآءَ jāa came
أَمْرُ amru (the) command (of) your Lord
رَبِّكَ ۖ rabbika (the) command (of) your Lord
وَمَا wamā And not
زَادُوهُمْ zādūhum they increased them
غَيْرَ ghayra other than
تَتْبِيبٍۢ tatbībin ruin
