Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
84. 1. The humiliation and disgrace that the Children of Israel suffered at the hands of Pharaoh did not decrease even after the coming of Musa (peace be upon him), so they were extremely distressed. In fact, they even said to Musa (peace be upon him), "O Musa, just as before your coming we were afflicted with hardships from Pharaoh and his people, our condition remains the same after your coming." Upon this, Musa (peace be upon him) told them that he hoped his Lord would soon destroy their enemy. But for this, it is necessary that you seek help only from Allah and do not let go of patience (see Surah Al-A'raf, verses 128, 129) 129). Here too, Musa (peace be upon him) advised them that if you are truly obedient to Allah, then put your trust in Him alone.
