Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

73. 1. That is, the people of Nuh (Noah) (AS) did not abandon the path of denial despite all the preaching and admonition, so Allah Almighty saved Hazrat Nuh (AS) and those who believed with him by placing them in an ark, and drowned all the rest, even one of Hazrat Nuh’s (AS) sons.

73. 2. That is, those who survived on earth were made successors of the people before them. Then the future generations of mankind continued from these people, especially from the three sons of Hazrat Nuh (AS). That is why Hazrat Nuh (AS) is called the second Adam.
