Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

58. 1. Happiness is the state that a person feels in their heart upon attaining something desired. The believers are being told that this Quran is Allah’s special favor and His mercy; for this, the believers should rejoice, meaning there should be a state of joy and contentment in their hearts. This does not mean that, to express happiness, one should arrange gatherings, processions, illuminations, and such wrong acts and unnecessary extravagance. As nowadays, the people of innovation use this verse to justify the "celebration of Eid Milad" and its incorrect customs.
