Surah Yunus (10) — Ayah 104

قُلْ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ إِن كُنتُمْ فِى شَكٍّ مِّن دِينِى فَلَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنْ أَعْبُدُ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ وَأُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿104﴾
Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): "O you mankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islâm), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship besides Allâh. But I worship Allâh Who causes you to die, and I am commanded to be one of the believers.
قُلْ qul Say
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا yāayyuhā O mankind
ٱلنَّاسُ l-nāsu O mankind
إِن in If
كُنتُمْ kuntum you are
فِى in
شَكٍّۢ shakkin doubt
مِّن min of
دِينِى dīnī my religion
فَلَآ falā then not
أَعْبُدُ aʿbudu I worship
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those whom
تَعْبُدُونَ taʿbudūna you worship
مِن min besides Allah
دُونِ dūni besides Allah
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi besides Allah
وَلَـٰكِنْ walākin but
أَعْبُدُ aʿbudu I worship
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
ٱلَّذِى alladhī the One Who
يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمْ ۖ yatawaffākum causes you to die
وَأُمِرْتُ wa-umir'tu And I am commanded
أَنْ an that
أَكُونَ akūna I be
مِنَ mina of
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ l-mu'minīna the believers

14. 1. In this verse, Allah Almighty is commanding His last Prophet, Muhammad Rasulullah ﷺ, to make it clear to all people that my way and the way of the polytheists are different from each other.
14. 2. That is, if you are in doubt about my religion, in which only one Allah is worshipped and this alone is the true religion, not any other, then remember, I will never, under any circumstances, worship those deities whom you worship.
14. 3. That is, life and death are in His hands alone, that is why when He wills, He can destroy you, because the lives of human beings are in His hands.
