وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَن تُؤْمِنَ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَيَجْعَلُ ٱلرِّجْسَ عَلَى ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿100﴾
It is not for any person to believe, except by the Leave of Allâh, and He will put the wrath on those who are heedless.
وَمَا wamā And not
كَانَ kāna is
لِنَفْسٍ linafsin for a soul
أَن an to
تُؤْمِنَ tu'mina believe
إِلَّا illā except
بِإِذْنِ bi-idh'ni by (the) permission
ٱللَّهِ ۚ l-lahi (of) Allah
وَيَجْعَلُ wayajʿalu And He will place
ٱلرِّجْسَ l-rij'sa the wrath
عَلَى ʿalā on
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
لَا (do) not
يَعْقِلُونَ yaʿqilūna use reason
