Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim — Hafiz Abdus Salam Bin Muhammad Bhutvi
Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
(Ayah 3,2){ رَسُوْلٌمِّنَاللّٰهِيَتْلُوْاصُحُفًامُّطَهَّرَةً …:} The Holy Qur’an has been described as {’’ صُحُفًامُّطَهَّرَةً ‘‘} and its commands and surahs as {’’ قَيِّمَةٌ ‘‘} (very strong), meaning that there is no impure statement, weak or baseless story, or command in them. If anyone desires to know the purity and strength of the pure scriptures brought by the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and the strong commands written in them, he should compare the Holy Qur’an with the earlier scriptures present in the collection of the Bible, in which, along with authentic matters, statements that are beneath reason and morality, clearly altered commands, and the impurity of disrespect and slander against the Exalted Being of Allah and the noble prophets can be clearly seen—for example, the baseless accusations against Lut and Sulaiman (peace be upon them), from which they are completely pure and free.
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran — Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani
Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
2. (That is) a Messenger from Allah, reciting to them purified scriptures [4],
[4] The Proofs of Your Prophethood:
That clear and manifest proof is the noble Messenger of Allah Himself. He is, in his own person, a proof of his prophethood. He does not require any other evidence. His entire life, his truthfulness and honesty, are themselves proof that if he claims to be the Messenger of Allah, then indeed he is the Messenger of Allah. Furthermore, the Quran which he recites to the People of the Book and the polytheists, and recites despite being unlettered, and presents such miraculous speech—reciting the verses of such a Quran is itself the greatest proof of his prophethood, for despite being unlettered, he presents such speech that the eloquent and articulate among the Arabs were all rendered helpless to produce anything like it. ﴿صُحُفًامُّطَهَّرةً﴾ has two meanings, and both are correct. One is that the Quran he presents is free from all kinds of distortion, addition, alteration, or omission. It is also free from any human interference, whereas the books of the People of the Book contain distortions, human additions, and omissions. The second meaning is that the teachings of the Quran are extremely pure; it does not tarnish the character of any prophet, whereas the People of the Book have leveled heinous accusations against the character of some prophets, but the Quran absolves them of these.
