Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah 3,2) {وَ وَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ …:} By removing the burden is meant the development of the ability to bear divine revelation, about which Allah Almighty has said: «اِنَّا سَنُلْقِيْ عَلَيْكَ قَوْلًا ثَقِيْلًا» [ المزمل : ۵ ] "Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word." In the hadith, it is mentioned that when revelation would descend upon the Prophet (peace be upon him), due to its weight, the camel he was riding would sit down. [مسند أحمد : 118/6، ح : ۲۴۸۶۸، سندہ صحیح ] Besides this, the burden of the responsibilities of prophethood is also meant, which you felt very intensely, as it is said: «لَعَلَّكَ بَاخِعٌ نَّفْسَكَ اَلَّا يَكُوْنُوْا مُؤْمِنِيْنَ » [ الشعراء : ۳ ] "Perhaps you would kill yourself with grief because they do not become believers." Allah Almighty removed this burden as well by saying: « لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدٰىهُمْ وَ لٰكِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَهْدِيْ مَنْ يَّشَآءُ » [ البقرۃ : ۲۷۲ ] "It is not upon you to guide them, but Allah guides whom He wills."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

2. 1. This burden pertains to the forty-year period of life before Prophethood. In that period, although Allah protected you ﷺ from sins, you ﷺ never prostrated before any idol, never drank alcohol, and remained distant from other evils as well, however, in the well-known sense, you ﷺ neither had knowledge of nor performed the worship and obedience of Allah, but your ﷺ feelings and consciousness had made it a burden. Allah, by announcing its removal, bestowed a favor upon you ﷺ.

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan.
