وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسْتَغْنَىٰ ﴿8﴾
But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.
وَأَمَّا wa-ammā But as for

(Ayah 8 to 10){ وَ اَمَّا مَنْۢ بَخِلَ وَ اسْتَغْنٰى …:} That is, in whom these three comprehensive qualities of evil are found: he is miserly, does not care about the Hereafter and what is lawful or unlawful, and denies the best thing, that is, the Oneness of Allah and the revelations sent by Him. So We also let him follow the path he desires, which is the path of difficulties and hardships and leads to Hell, meaning that doing good becomes difficult for him and committing sin becomes easy.
