Tafsir al-Quran al-Karim is a 4-volume Quran commentary by Hafiz Abdus Salam bin Muhammad Bhutvi, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar and Sheikh ul-Hadith from Pakistan. Based on over 45 years of teaching and research, this tafsir follows the methodology of Tafsir bil-Ma'thur — interpreting the Quran through authentic Hadith, statements of the Companions, and the understanding of the early generations (Salaf). It is distinguished by its complete avoidance of Israeliyyat (Judeo-Christian narratives) and unverified reports. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

(Ayah72) ➊ {وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ … ’’ عَدْنٍ ‘‘} The place of everlasting stay, Abu Sa‘id Khudri and Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with them) narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “(In Paradise) a caller will announce that for you is this (blessing) that you will remain healthy and never fall ill, and for you is this (blessing) that you will live and never die, and for you is this (blessing) that you will remain young and never grow old, and for you is this (blessing) that you will remain prosperous and never face hardship. So this is His statement: «وَ نُوْدُوْۤا اَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ اُوْرِثْتُمُوْهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُوْنَ» [ الأعراف : ۴۳ ] ‘They will be called: This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of what you used to do.’” [ مسلم، الجنۃ و صفۃ نعیمھا، باب فی دوام نعیم أہل الجنۃ… : ۲۸۳۷ ]

{وَ رِضْوَانٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ اَكْبَرُ:} Abu Sa‘id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah, the Exalted, will say to the people of Paradise: ‘O people of Paradise! Are you pleased?’ They will say: ‘O our Lord! Why should we not be pleased, when You have given us what You have not given to any of Your creation?’ Allah, the Exalted, will say: ‘Shall I not give you a blessing greater than all these blessings?’ They will say: ‘And what blessing could be greater than this?’ Allah, the Exalted, will say: ‘I bestow My pleasure upon you, and I will never be displeased with you ever again.’” [بخاری، التوحید، باب کلام الرب مع أہل الجنۃ : ۷۵۱۸۔ مسلم : ۲۸۲۹ ]

{’’ رِضْوَانٌ ‘‘} Here, the tanween of taqlil is to express the greatness of Allah’s pleasure, that even the slightest of Allah’s pleasure is far greater than the blessings of Paradise and the pure dwellings of the Garden of Eden; this indeed is the greatest success.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

72. 1 Pearls and rubies will be prepared. Several meanings have been given for 'Adn. One meaning is eternity.

72. 2 It is also mentioned in the hadith that after all the blessings of Paradise, the greatest blessing for the people of Paradise will be in the form of the pleasure of Allah (Sahih Bukhari).

Tafsir Taiseer ul-Quran (Facilitation of the Quran) is a comprehensive Quran commentary by Maulana Abdul Rahman Kilani, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. Known for his eloquent and accessible writing style, Kilani authored this tafsir with a focus on clarity — making Quranic meanings understandable to the common reader. The tafsir provides detailed historical context for verses related to battles and expeditions, and firmly refutes modernist ideologies using strong scriptural evidence. It is widely regarded as an invaluable resource for understanding the Quran and countering deviant interpretations. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

72. Allah has promised the believing men and believing women gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever, and beautiful, everlasting dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. But the greatest of all is Allah’s pleasure [87]. That is the supreme success.

What is Meant by Allah’s Pleasure?

The blessings of Paradise are countless, innumerable, and everlasting, which have been mentioned in many places in the Book and Sunnah. It is also mentioned in authentic ahadith that after Allah Almighty admits the people of Paradise into Paradise, He will call out to them and the people of Paradise will respond, “Here we are.” Allah Almighty will ask them, “Are you now pleased?” They will reply, “O our Lord! How could we not be pleased when You have granted us every kind of blessing here?” Allah Almighty will say, “Shall I not grant you a blessing greater than all these blessings?” The people of Paradise will ask, “O our Lord! What could be better than these blessings?” Allah Almighty will say, “Now I bestow upon you My pleasure and approval, and after today I shall never be displeased with you.” [بخاري۔ كتاب التوحيد۔ باب كلام الرب مع اهل الجنة]
